Sometimes I Sing

I like to sing. A lot.

When I'm cooking, when I'm sewing, when I'm drawing, when I'm scrolling through Tumblr, when I'm writing... I'm basically always singing.

Which is why I decided last year to start posting covers on YouTube. I really enjoy singing along with my karaoke tracks to my laptop webcam (but I'm saving up to buy an actual camera soon ooh) and posting them for other people to watch and enjoy. The whole process is quite chilled out and it's a fun new hobby that I'm getting into.

However, I kind of want to see my channel grow more than it has, which is why I'm making this post. I'll embed a few of my videos here and if you like watching them perhaps you could subscribe for me? Blog and YouTube - double the Hannah! (That might be some people's personal hell but hey)

I hope you enjoy!

Stupidly Happy

If anyone were to ask me how I'm feeling with my life right now, the answer would have to be stupidly happy.

The last two years of school were the hardest time of my life so far. I felt under pressure from all sides. School wanted me to get A*s across the board (I attended a grammar school and their reputation mattered more to them than the mental health of their students), 'friends' wanted me to just keep my mouth and ignore their constant bitching behind my back. I was exhausted, completely fed up and just absolutely miserable.

And now all that has changed.

In September, I started my first year at college studying Art and Design. As you're well aware if you're a regular reader of my blog, I love to sew, draw and craft. Now that I get to dedicate all of my time to being creative, I feel so much happier than last year when I was taking 11 subjects, the majority of which I was bored of.

Going to a new school has enabled me to get away from those 'friends' I mentioned earlier, and my new friends at college are far more mature. There hasn't been any stupid drama. At all.

Regularly, we meet with our tutors at college to talk about how we're doing and how we're finding the course. In the five years I was at secondary school, this was never offered to me, and it is so helpful. All of a sudden, someone with authority is asking me questions and caring about the answers. It's a nice change from "You didn't get full marks. You're a failure."

I still am able to keep in touch with my real friends from secondary school relatively easily.

So right now in my life I am overwhelmingly, ridiculously, stupidly happy, and I want to encourage you to do something: if you are unhappy with your life right now, find out what is making you unhappy and change it.

If you need a bit of positive inspiration in your life, my Tumblr (x) is full of positive quotes as well as funny and cute pictures.
