Happy New Year!

For me, the New Year is a time of reflection and resolution, looking back on lessons learned in 2014 and figuring out how to take those lessons forward into 2015. It's about leaving the bad behind and going into the New Year with a mind focussed on achieving my new goals.

Craftmas Day 19: My go-to Presents for Hard-to-Shop-For People

We all have that one friend who either has everything or you just have no idea what to get them. Here are suggestions of presents that I tend to bring out when I'm lost for inspiration.

Craftmas Day 16: Christmas Nail Art

[This post is not sponsored and all opinions are my own]

This year, mum got me the Ciaté 'Mini Mani Manor' and honestly I love it. All year, I've been telling myself that I shouldn't buy any more nail varnishes because it was becoming a bit of a problem, and now here I am with 24 of them to reward me for my patience! Every day I look forward to opening up my little door to see what colour nail varnish or glitter I get, and I decided that it was time to try some of them out now that I am off school and away from any uniform codes!

Craftmas Day 14: Lush Christmas Wishlist

For the past three days of Craftmas, I've been reviewing some of the things from the Lush Christmas range that I have tried this year, but there's still a lot of things from the range that I have yet to try out. Here's some of the things that I really want to get hold of soon.

1) Holly Golightly bubble bar (£4.75 each)
(x)
I bought this as part of a Christmas present for my friend and was seriously considering getting one for myself. The smell is just divine and from other reviews I've read/watched, it's a wonderful bubble bar as well! Not to mention the glitter I can see on it - we all know that I luuuuuuurve glitter.

2) Northern Lights bath bomb (£3.50 each)
(x)
This smells lovely (I've had a good sniff in the shop!) and is the same shape as the Sparkler bath bomb, which one of my friends got me for my birthday. I loved that one, and I'm pretty sure that I'll love this one too, as it gives a similar effect with the swirling colours in the bath water.

3) The Melting Snowman bath melt (£2.25 each)
(x)
Come on, you know this one's cute. Almond oil and cocoa butter make for a skin-softening, divine-smelling blend, and I'm sure that this is one bath melt that I'll definitely be trying soon.

4) The Christmas Hedgehog bubble bar (£3.25 each)
(x)
Another lovely-smelling and adorable little thing, this bubble bar promises to soften your skin and calm your mood. I'm looking forward to trying out this little blue hedgehog sometime soon (or keep one as a pet).

5) Drummers Drumming reusable bubble bar (£5.25 each)
(x)
I love the smell of this one - it's sweet and relaxing. I also love the fact that you can make the bells drum on either side of it by twisting it! I think that this is a good idea, especially since it's reusable so will last you for quite some time.

Have you tried any of the Lush products here? Would you recommend them? Do you have your own Lush wishlist this Christmas?

Happy Craftmas!

[This post is not sponsored and all opinions are my own]

PART ONE | PART TWO |

It's no secret that I love Lush. They're environmentally friendly, cruelty-free, all the products smell amazing and feel great, and the Lush Christmas collection is no exception.

Here is part three of my thoughts on a few items from the Lush Christmas range.

Craftmas Day 10 - A Tour of Our Christmas Tree

I said in another post that this year our tree featured ornaments we've collected over the years. Here's a look at some of the things that stand out most to me:

Craftmas Day 8 - Stamped Wrapping Paper

This year to make even the paper I wrap my presents in special, I've decided to have a go at using stamps on my wrapping paper.

I bought a few stamps from East of India in a local garden centre, as well as an ink pad and some brown paper.

Craftmas Day 7 - Christmas Wreaths

For years, I've wanted to make my own wreath for the front door and I finally gave it a go!

Craftmas Day 6 - Thrifty Gift Tags

Every year, we display our Christmas cards around the house on mantelpieces, on top of dressers, on stands, hangers, you name it. And every year, when we're taking down all our decorations (sad face) my mum saves a few of the cards and cuts them up.

Brutal, I know.

Craftmas Day 5 - Handmade Christmas Garland Inspiration

As explained in an earlier post, I have lots to do schoolwise at the moment, so until the Christmas holidays I'm going to have to put off excessive crafting for a bit. However, that doesn't mean that I can't have a quick sneaky peak online at some inspiration, does it? Garlands look really festive, whether they're draped over a mantelshelf, wrapped around a banister or decorating a tree, so whatever your tastes I hope you can find something to have a go at here.

Craftmas Day 4 - Handmade Christmas Card Inspiration

Unfortunately, I've got about six major deadlines and assessments coming up in the next few weeks before the end of term to focus on, so I won't be able to make all of my Christmas cards myself this year. However, I've been scouring Pinterest and found a few little ideas that are pretty cute, so here's some inspiration in case anyone out there was thinking of making their own cards this year! It's a great idea, because people really appreciate little things like this - it shows that you've taken time and care and thought.

Craftmas Day 1 - Hello December!

(x)
So it appears to be December already. In my head it is still March (then again, in my head I am also still twelve so time has stood still for me for about four years).
